Nuts are best toasted in the oven. Spread them evenly on a baking sheet and bake at 350˚F for 5-10 minutes until golden brown and fragrant. If you do this in a frying pan, the only part of the nut that will toast is the part touching the pan. The end produce will be blotchy and often burnt, but the oven gives an all-round even heat for even browning. Also, it requires less attention than the pan method, which must be kept constantly moving.
